Rajasthan State GK

Rajasthan, situated in northwest India, shares borders with Punjab to the north, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast, Madhya Pradesh to the east, and Gujarat to the south. Along its western side, it stretches alongside Pakistan. Acting as a guardian, Rajasthan safeguards the western frontier of the nation, remaining steadfast and unwavering. The Thar Desert, its home, defines its character. Within this expanse, Rajasthan is divided into two contrasting sections: the rugged southeast and the arid Thar Desert, extending into Pakistan. This state, however, is rich in diverse physical attributes and varied topography. Amidst these divisions, Mount Abu stands as a unique anomaly, a hill station flourishing in the arid Thar. As the Aravali hills provide respite to this parched land, the sprawling desert sands and arid expanses create one of the most formidable terrains globally. Jodhpur, the second-largest city, marks the boundary where the desert's dry, shifting landscape transitions to more cultivable land. Furthermore, the rocky Amber range, the hilly expanse of Mewar, Bharatpur's river basin, and the fertile Aravali range together contribute to Rajasthan's distinct topographical panorama.
