Airports Authority of India invites online applications from the eligible candidates who are domicile of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Sikkim for the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Service) NE-4 level, at various AAI airports and other AAI Establishments in the above States/UT in Eastern Region.

QUALIFICATION
Education:
- Option 1: 10th Pass with a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Fire
- Option 2: 12th Pass (Regular Study)
Driving License:
- Option 1: Valid Heavy Vehicle License
- Option 2: Valid Medium Vehicle License issued before 1st November 2023
- Option 3: Valid Light Vehicle License issued before 1st November 2022
Important:
- If you have a Medium or Light Vehicle License, you must get a Heavy Vehicle License within one year of joining.
- If you fail, your probation will be extended by one more year.
- If you still cannot get the license within two years, your job will end.
- Temporary or Learning Licenses are not accepted.
AGE CRITERIA
Age Limit and Relaxation Rules:
- Age Limit: Candidates must be 18 to 30 years old as of 1st November 2024.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years (up to 33 years) as of 1st November 2024.
- SC/ST: +5 years (up to 35 years) as of 1st November 2024.
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Length of service is extended by 3 years. Additional age relaxation follows Government of India rules. ESM candidates must also mention their category (SC/ST/OBC/UR/EWS).
- AAI Employees:
- General: +10 years (up to 40 years).
- SC/ST: Additional +5 years (total 15 years).
- OBC: Additional +3 years (total 13 years).
- Widows, Divorced Women, and Separated Women (Not Remarried):
- General: Up to 35 years.
- SC/ST: Up to 40 years.
- OBC: Up to 38 years.
Documents required: - For widows: Husband’s death certificate and an affidavit confirming non-remarriage.
- For divorced women: Certified divorce order and an affidavit confirming non-remarriage.
- Ex-Agniveers:
- General: +3 years relaxation.
- First batch of Agniveers: +5 years relaxation instead of 3 years.
Important Notes:
- The age, qualification, and experience will be calculated as of 1st November 2024.
- Ex-serviceman reservations and age relaxations will follow the latest Government of India guidelines.
Physical Fitness
Physical and Medical Standards
Physique: Must be in good health (for both men and women).
Vision Requirements (for both men and women):
- Distance Vision: 6/6 in each eye without glasses.
- Near Vision: N-5 in each eye without glasses.
- Color Vision: Must be normal (tested with Ishihara’s charts).
- Night Blindness: Should not have night blindness.
- Field of Vision: Full field of vision in each eye (tested by confrontation test).
- Refractive Error: No eye conditions like refractive errors are allowed.
Note: Failing the color or night blindness test will lead to disqualification.
Hearing: Must have normal hearing.
Speech: Speech should be normal.
Height Requirements:
- Men: Minimum 167 cm
- Women: Minimum 157 cm
Chest (for Men):
- Before expansion: Minimum 81 cm
- Expansion: Minimum 5 cm (best of three attempts will be considered)
Note: Chest measurement is not applicable for women.
Weight Requirements:
- Men: Minimum 55 kg
- Women: Minimum 45 kg
Relaxation for Candidates from Hilly Areas:
- Height relaxation: 3 cm (for both men and women).
- Chest relaxation: 3 cm (for men only).
- Proportionate relaxation in weight.
- Requirement: Candidates must provide a Bonafide Certificate.
Note: Minimum chest expansion for men must still be 5 cm. No other relaxation will be provided for any category.
Disqualifications:
Candidates will be disqualified for:
- Knocking knees, bow legs, squint, flat feet, or other physical deformities.
- Chronic diseases or major surgeries that affect physical fitness for fire service.

- Last Date for Completion of Step I & II of Registration: 28th January 2025
