Directorate of Information Technology - recognized winner in the prestigious 15th National Digital Transformation Awards, 2024

Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, received the 15th national digital transformation awards, 2024 for its outstanding achievements in IT initiatives.
Prestigious Award: Presented by Gov-Connect, the award acknowledges high-quality service delivery, innovation, and fostering positive change in the state.
Beneficiary Management System (BMS-DBT): The award was given for implementing the Beneficiary Management System platform, significantly impacting the state’s benefits delivery system since its introduction in 2020-21.
Statistics: The platform onboarded 100 welfare schemes from 23 departments, covering 11,60,912 beneficiaries with Rs. 1594.30 Cr. DBT disbursement out of a population of 39,48,350 as per Tripura Ration Card Database.
Key Features: Accountability, transparency, fake beneficiary elimination, improved benefits delivery process, paperless processing, reduced response times, and increased citizen engagement.
Conclave and Award Ceremony: The 15th national digital transformation conclave took place on 13.12.2024 in Guwahati, Assam. Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B., IFS, Director, IT, Govt. of Tripura, showcased various IT initiatives and received the award.
Attendees: Government officials from across India, including Cabinet Secretariat, NIC, NeGD, CSC, PSU, and various state departments of IT, education, health, agriculture, rural, home affairs, and urban IT agencies, attended the event.
DIT Vision: Established in 1999 under Industries & Commerce Department, DIT aims to transform Tripura into a developed and empowered state through innovative and effective solutions.
Future Initiatives: The recognition comes as DIT continues rolling out eGovernance initiatives to improve service delivery, efficiency, and transparency.
