Qualification
- Candidates Should Possess Intermediate/10+2/ Diploma (Relevant Engg).
Physical Ability
- Height: For Male Candidates height is 152 cms; For female Candidates 152 cms for candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cms will be accepted. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cms
- Weight: Weight should beproportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
- Chest: For Male Candidates Minimum chest: 77 cms and the chest expansion should be atleast 05 cms, For Female Candidates: chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed with the minimum range of expansion of 05 cms
- Hearing: Should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 06 meters by each ear separately
- Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

Physical Fitness Test – 1 (PFT-1): For Male Candidates : 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes & For Female Candidates 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes
Physical Fitness Test – 2 (PFT-2): In order to qualify in PFT-2, candidates should complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within stipulated time as per the following: –
For Male Candidates :
(i) 10 Push-ups 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 10 minutes break on completion of run
(ii) 10 Sit-ups 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Push-ups
(iii) 20 Squats 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Sit-ups
For Female Candidates :
(i) 10 Sit-ups 01 Minute 30 Seconds Test will be conducted after 10 minutes break on completion of run
(iii) 20 Squats 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Sit-ups
Visual Ability
- Visual Acuity: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye
- Maximum limits of Refractive error: Hypermetropia:+2.0D Myopia: 1D including ± 0.50 D Astigmatism
- Colour Vision: CP-II
Age Limit
- Candidate born between 01-01-2005 and 01-07-2008 (both dates inclusive).
- In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrollment should be 21 years.
